HOURS OF WORK:          Shift Work

 

SALARY:         $28.49 per hour – Up to 40 hours per week

 

Located adjacent to downtown Victoria, Esquimalt is a residential community (population 17,000) with extensive amenities including beautiful parks and beaches, scenic waterfront walkways as well as modern recreational facilities, schools and commercial services.

 

This position requires you to perform routine servicing and maintenance of refrigeration equipment; monitor and make necessary adjustments to brine level, flow and temperature; clean and disinfect change rooms, washrooms, activity rooms, lockers and hallways; set up rooms for functions; unload and move shipments of materials and supplies; prepare and handle various cleaning materials; undertake facility repairs; make and maintain ice using various equipment and machinery; maintain garbage disposal and re-cycling programs; maintain high level of cleanliness of various public rooms, offices and equipment

 

The preferred candidate will have

• High school graduation.

• Refrigerator Operator’s (Class 5) Certificate

• Current and valid Class 5 B.C. Drivers Licence.
