Climate action rebates for residents and businesses

There are a number of programs, rebates and incentives being offered in BC.

Heat pump top-ups: update

Thank you for making our top up program a success! So far, 46 Esquimalt residents have signed up to obtain the Esquimalt top up of $350 towards the cost of a heat pump when switching from oil or natural gas. This is in addition to the $3000 offered through Clean BC.  Each natural gas or oil furnace replaced with an electric heat pump gets us closer to our climate goal of becoming a 100% renewable community by 2050.

CleanBC is BC’s online hub for homeowners and businesses to access information, incentives and support to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions in new and existing homes and buildings. It includes information on the Home Renovation Rebate and CleanBC Program, as well as an expanded Energy Coach service to answer any outstanding questions. The program will provide rebates and performance-based incentives for conversion of gas and oil-fired heating equipment to electric heat pumps, upgrading to highest efficiency gas equipment, and envelope improvements such as increased insulation and high-performance windows and doors.

BC Hydro has coupons, rebates, and incentive programs available to residents and businesses throughout the province.
