April 8, 2022 - Vaccine requirements 

Please note masks are now a personal choice and no longer required and the PHO for vaccine requirements expires at 12:01am April 8th and will no longer be needed to access our services.

    Spring 2022 registration dates:

    • Spring program offerings (except swimming lessons) are currently open for registration now - in person or online.

    • Spring Swimming lessons are viewable online now, registration opens online March 1st at 12am and in person at 5:30am.
    • Summer Camps are viewable online now, registration opens online March 2nd at 7am and in person March 9th at 5:30am.
      • Please note, a 2022 camp emergency form must be filled out in order to complete any camp registrations.  You can complete this ahead of time here

      Program Call-Out

      We're currently looking to expand our program offering as we prepare to open our new building - the Esquimalt Gorge Pavilion - in April. We're looking for the following programs and activities for our community:

      • Dance classes for preschool, school age, youth and adult
      • Arts & Culture
      • Language
      • Music & Instruments
      • Cooking
      • Mindfulness/Wellness
      • STEM & Information Technology
      • Public Speaking
      • Baby & Parent /  Toddler & Parent
      • Martial Arts
      • And more!

      How to Register

      • View program availability & register online - NOTE: Please register in person to redeem any LIFE discounts on programs; LIFE discounts cannot be redeemed through online registration.  Where programs are not listed in the online catalogue, please call to 250.412.8500 to register. Online registration is not yet available for personal training.
      • Register by phone (250-412-8500) 5:30am-10:30pm. Payment options: Visa, MasterCard, AMEX.
      • Register in person at Esquimalt Recreation Centre, 527 Fraser Street, 5:30am-10:30pm. Payment Options: Cash, Debit, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX


      1. Full refunds & credits are permitted up to three working days prior to the start of most programs.  1-week's notice needed to receive a full refund on Summer Camps.
      2. Three days prior to the start of a program, requests for credit must be made through the appropriate Programmer. There are no guarantees a credit can be accommodated within 3 days from the start of a program.
      3. Withdrawals from Out of School Care & Creative Play programs require one month advanced written notice for full refund. See reception for details.

      NSF Fee

      There is a $20 charge for all returned NSF cheques.


      • There is a $2 replacement fee for lost cards. LIFE passes and Regional Recreation passes subject to $5 replacement fee for lost cards. 
      • There is a $25 pass cancellation fee
