Although the snow has just melted, spring really is around the corner! Adjusted schedules will be in effect over Spring Break, March 16th-April 1st with more opportunities for children and youth to stay active and have fun!
Spring Break Pass
Skating and swimming are even more affordable with the Spring Break Pass! 10-punch passes are available for $10.00 for children/youth; $25.00 for those 19 years+. Spring Break Passes are valid March 16 to April 1, 2019. Already a pass holder? Your spring break pass can be used for skate rentals as well:
- Going skating at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, use two of your punches and receive admission and a skate rental!
- Already a pass holder but are looking for a great deal on skate rentals? Use your regular pass for admission and take advantage of the Spring Break Pass for your skate rental.
- Have a preschooler who receives free admission but need skate rentals, they can use the Spring Break Pass, too!
Drop-in Schedules
Spring Break Passes cannot be shared and are non-transferable. Admission included to general drop-in programs and facilities: swimming, weight room, drop-in fitness, waterfit, social and sports programs, skating and; skate rentals. Note: limited size and quantities of rentals are available. All skate rentals issued on a first come, first served basis.
NEW! Spring Break Drop-In Ice Hockey
Our drop-in ice hockey schedule has been expanded over spring break to provide an opportunity for both middle school and high school students to join in on the fun. Drop-In Hockey over spring break is open to those 12yrs+. This program runs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Archie Browning Sports Centre March 20th to 29th. Helmet, gloves & shin pads mandatory, full gear recommended. Take advantage of the SPRING BREAK PASS to receive discounted admission, a 10-punch pass for children/youth is just $10 and valid for both general admission and skate rentals. Please purchase Spring Break Pass at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre.

Youth Wellness Centre Orientation
Is your youth interested in using the gym? This 4-hour course will ensure that your youth has the knowledge and skills required to use the gym safely & effectively. Upon successful completion, they will be allowed to visit the Wellness Centre. Two options are available over spring break:

A Safe Place for Youth
We have extended our hours to the Esquimalt Teen Centre over spring break for youth to have a great place to hangout with friends, play some video games, pool or foosball - or play some Twister with our Youth Leaders. Over spring break the Esquimalt Teen Centre, located on the lower level of the Esquimalt Recreation Centre, will be open Tuesday to Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
There is no cost for admission. Youth Leaders are on site to assist participants and ensure a safe and fun envrionment for all. There is also an opportunity for interested participants to play sports in the gym with a Youth Leader during the drop-in youth nights.
