The Esquimalt Recreation Centre and Archie Browning Sports Centre are OPEN and will remain open during this extreme weather event provided the facilities have power (link: BC Hydro website).
Drop-in program schedules will be maintained in real-time - see esquimalt.ca/schedules.
Registered program participants will be contacted in the event of program cancellations and refunds will be processed appropriately. First notices will be issued via email and then via phone as we manage a high volume of calls. It is helpful but not required to reply to the cancellation notice by email to indicate "received".

Thursday, February 14, 2019 Program Cancellations/Changes & Facility Closures:
- Our Parks Crew is in the process of clearing snow at Esquimalt's Gorge Park. Vehicle access to the Park through the main entrance off of Tillicum Road will not be permitted as crews ensure safe access for the public. We currently anticipate the main entrance to be re-open by 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14th.
- Bullen Park & Brodeur Sports Field - closed until further notice
- As of 9:55 a.m. all recreation programs are running as scheduled
