Help Esquimalt be crowned Canada’s Most Active Community for 2025 and win $100, 000
The Community Challenge is a national physical activity and sport initiative that encourages everyone in Canada to get active throughout June in search of Canada’s Most Active Community, which will win $100,000 to support local sport and physical activity initiatives.
The Community Challenge is open to everyone in Canada! Local governments and community organizations can register their June physical activity and sport initiatives, programs and events and track the numbers of participants on the Challenge web portal from June 1 to 30.
Individuals can also contribute to their community’s final score by pledging to get active during the Challenge throughout June.
In June, by participating in any Esquimalt Parks and Recreation physical activity, your active minutes will be counted towards Esquimalt’s total. Activities include
- Drop in weight room sessions
- Drop in fitness classes
- Drop in sports
- Drop in swimming
- Drop-in or registered pickleball
- Registered fitness classes
- Registered kids’ and youth sports
- Registered kids’ dance programs
- Special active events through the month of June!
As an individual, you can pledge to get active. This will count towards Esquimalt’s final score.
You can make the pledge here: Take the pledge
Please use an Esquimalt postal code to contribute towards Esquimalt’s final score.
