About the Opportunity:

The Human Resource and Community Relations department is seeking a motivated, high-achieving individual to fill the full-time role of Office Administrator.  Reporting to the Director but taking direction from the team, the successful candidate will be resourceful, independent and a great team player with responsibilities of administrative support and management of projects specific to the department including volunteer attraction, long term service award, and other events pertaining to community relations. 

This role works independently with minimal supervision, with a wide range of tasks requiring excellent attention to detail, including drafting job postings, completing surveys, updating the website and social media platforms and inputting information into spreadsheets and databases

Our Preferred Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have excellent written communication, organizational and customer service skills, and will possess a minimum of one-year applicable post secondary education with at least 3 years of related experience, preferably in a municipal setting. 

This role is well suited for an individual capable of working independently, exercising initiative, organizing, and prioritizing work with considerable tact and diplomacy. Proficient in Office Suite software applications and knowledgeable of navigating social media is essential.

Salary: $35.25 – $38.02 hourly plus benefits (2024 rates)

Hours per week: 35
