Esquimalt’s local grants program is designed to assist not-for-profit societies and other non-profit and community organizations to achieve their objectives.
Applications are due by December 31, no later than 12 noon, and preference is given to organizations based in Esquimalt or organizations that provide services to Esquimalt residents.

Permissive Tax Exemption
Esquimalt's permissive tax exemption policy provides a means for Council to support organizations within the community which further Council's objectives of enhancing quality of life (economic, social, cultural) and delivering services economically.
Applications are due by no later than August 31 at 4:30 p.m. annually, and preference is given to organizations based in Esquimalt or organizations that provide services to Esquimalt residents.
