Join Esquimalt’s Parks and Recreation staff for story time in the park. These stories are intended for children ages 3-6, but all are welcome. These stories will focus on environmental education and will be followed by a nature walk in Saxe Point Park. Parent or caregiver supervision is required. Help your little ones gain an appreciation for nature, reading, and Esquimalt's beautiful parks.

The July 21 story is Wildflower by Melanie Brown and illustrated by Sara Gillingham. This colourful book tells the story of Daisy learning about different plants. Some are called weeds and some are not, but why?

Melanie Brown is a BC resident and has worked as an elementary school teacher. Sara Gillingham is an award-winning author and illustrator who has worked on more than 25 children's books.
