    Educate & empower yourself on how to safely transport children in vehicles with a live demo.

    Child car seats when used correctly, SAVE LIVES!  As our children grow and change, the type of safety restraint system needed, also change. Some common questions around car seats are;

    • When and how do I properly use a car seat (size, weight)?
    • When can I transition to a booster seat?
    • When is it safe for my child to use a standard seat belt?

    At this drop-in clinic Esquimalt Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) will help answer those questions. EFRS members will also give you the skills necessary to confidently choose the right car seat for your child. If you have a car seat on site EFRS members will gladly show you the proper installation of the chosen car seat.

    The goal of this EFRS car seat clinic is to;

    • Educate and empower the parent and/or caregiver about how to safely transport children in vehicles.

    This drop-in clinic is open to anyone interested and will be on a first come, first serve basis during the hours of 11:00am-1:00pm. The clinic will take approximately 15-20 minutes for each group or individual.

    Drop by, say hi to our EFRS members and learn how to further increase the safety of your children.
