    About the Compost Education Centre:

@viccomposted is an organization that offers workshops, factsheets, and resources to help CRD residents create their own compost, grow food, take care of the soil in their communities, and more. The CEC booth will have free factsheets on these topics, as well as a staff member who is happy to answer any composting or gardening questions.

    About Lifecycles Project:
@lifecyclesproject will discuss their upcoming Fruit Tree and Farm Gleaning season, focusing on local food resources, small-scale farming, fruit tree cultivation, and food redistribution to the community.

LifeCycles aims to improve food security through urban agriculture and food rescue initiatives. By raising awareness and encouraging participation, LifeCycles fosters healthy, empowered citizens and resilient communities. Their key projects include the Fruit Tree and Farm Gleaning Project, which redistributes unwanted fruit and produce; Welland Community Orchard, a heritage orchard offering workshops on food literacy and fruit trees; and their Seed Library at the Greater Victoria Public Library, providing seeds and resources for growing and saving food.
