With the construction of Esquimalt Town Square (ETS) set to begin, there will be a number of changes to parking availability in the vicinity of Esquimalt Municipal Hall.
All parking areas south of Municipal Hall will be closed effective Monday, March 6, 2017 until further notice.
Alternate parking for those visiting Municipal Hall and the Esquimalt Library include:
• the parking lot west of Memorial Park on Esquimalt Road;
• one hour parking spots located on Esquimalt Road by the Hall; and,
• the south parking area behind Archie Browning Sports Centre.
Please note that parking in the lot north of the Esquimalt Recreation Centre is for facility patrons only and is time limited. In addition, the Esquimalt Plaza parking lot is for use by plaza patrons only.
Portions of Carlisle Avenue, Comerford Street and Lyall Street are designated as residential parking only. Vehicles parked in this area must have a valid temporary parking pass. Township bylaw officers will be monitoring this area to ensure compliance.
The electric car charging station located south of Municipal Hall will be moved to the Memorial Park parking lot within the next several weeks. The station will be temporarily closed until electrical services are in place for its operation.
Access to the Esquimalt Branch of the Greater Victoria Public Library will be maintained through Municipal Hall, or via the sidewalk west of the Hall.
