The Heritage Register allows for the identification and monitoring of the community’s historic places, and the integration of heritage conservation into other land use planning processes.

Esquimalt Council established the Esquimalt Community Heritage Register on January 18, 2010.

The Esquimalt Register includes twenty eight buildings and sites, fourteen of which are protected through Heritage Designation.
