National Peacekeeper’s Day Parade

CFB Esquimalt will be hosting the 33rd annual Peacekeeper’s Memorial Parade in Esquimalt Memorial Park.

During this event, veterans, Canadian Armed Forces personnel, police and civilians who served in peace support operations will be remembered. 

Commander Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, Captain(N) Kevin Whiteside, will join federal, provincial and municipal representatives, leaders of veteran’s organizations and family members bestowed the Silver Cross that represents the loss of a family member. 

After a remembrance silence, the dignitaries will each place a poppy in a wreath at the cenotaph.  An aircraft from 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron will fly past in salute.

Veterans of the Canadian Forces, RCMP, municipal police services and civilians who have served in peace operations are encouraged to attend.  

Those that have them are encouraged to wear their blue or orange beret indicative of their service.
