Graffiti Removal

Graffiti is an act of vandalism involving painting, drawing, scribbling, or “tagging” on any surface without the permission of the property owner.

Esquimalt is committed to removing graffiti with its program ETAG (Esquimalt Together Against Graffiti). This program involves the Police Department and a team of staff and community volunteers, who clean-up existing graffiti and respond to new instances of vandalism. To report graffiti, or volunteer, please call 250-414-7108.

Find out more about ETAG here.

Esquimalt’s initiative to wrap electrical kiosks in a graffiti-proof vinyl laminate with scenic photos from local parks has been successful in deterring graffiti and making the removal of any tagging easy. See our photo gallery of laminate locations here (under construction).
