About the opportunity:

The Township is conducting a pilot program for up to two years and is looking for two temporary part time reception clerks.  Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Services, the reception clerk will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to members of the public and staff and demonstrate the ability to multitask while responding to phone, over the counter, and email inquiries, in addition to providing administrative support to the Corporate Services department. This position will be part of a Municipal Hall reception team which will require collaboration and communication to ensure delivery of a high-quality and cohesive service. 

Our preferred candidate:

The ideal candidate has experience, preferably in a local government setting, performing administrative tasks, working with the public providing outstanding customer service, an ability to build positive relationships and thrives in an environment where accuracy is essential, excellent customer service is paramount, and deadlines are achieved. Candidates must demonstrate superior interpersonal, communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. A strong focus on service delivery, adaptability, efficiency and effectiveness in a changing work environment are equally important. 

Salary: $34.31 – $36.95 which includes 14% in lieu of benefits (2024 rates)

Hours per week: 20 (this is a shared position between two people with 20 hours per week/per person)
