Looking to register your child for our Esquimalt Licensed Preschool Programs? Here’s everything you need to know.

Returning Families registering for 2026/2027: 

February 27 - March 13, 2026

New Families registering for 2025/2026:

Complete the application package, link below, and email it to preschool@esquimalt.ca

New Families registering for 2026/2027:

Registration opens March 14, 2026

• Registration follows the school year calendar (September – June).

• Registration is for the entire school year.

• To register: 

  • Email your complete application package to preschool@esquimalt.ca.

  • Applications are processed first come, first served.

  • Completing an application does not guarantee placement.

  • Incomplete applications will not be processed.

The Child, Youth & Family Programmer will contact you to confirm if your child has received a spot.

1. Download & Complete the 2025/2026 Preschool Application Package (includes Parent Handbook).

2. Email the completed package to preschool@esquimalt.ca.

What You’ll Need

• Child’s BC Personal Health Number (9-digit MSP number)

• Full immunization records

• Family doctor or preferred walk-in clinic name

• Two emergency contacts (name & phone number)

• Additional alternate pick-up contacts

• Digital photo of child (headshot for emergency card)

• Banking info (credit card or VOID cheque for fees)

• Custody documents (if applicable)

• Child Support/Inclusion Needs Intake Form (if applicable)

• Anaphylaxis and Asthma Forms (if applicable)

Support & Inclusion

If your child requires extra support or qualifies for funding through Supported Child Development, please:

• Complete the Child Support/Inclusion Needs Intake Form

• Email the form along with your registration to preschool@esquimalt.ca

  • Child Support/Inclusion Needs Intake Form

  • Emergency Medical Care – Anaphylaxis

  • Emergency Medical Care – Asthma

  • Permission to Administer Medication

Payment Information

• Once your child’s space is confirmed: 

  • A $30/family registration processing fee applies

  • Payments come out on the 1st of every month September – June.
