Pursuant to Section 59 of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Municipal Council of the Township of Esquimalt will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Esquimalt Municipal Hall, 1229 Esquimalt Road to provide the public with an opportunity to make verbal or written representation to Council with respect to the following:
• Inter-Community Business Licence Bylaw, 2026, No. 3089; and
• Repeal of Inter-Community Business Licence Bylaw, 2018, No. 2934
The Township intends to adopt the proposed Inter-Community Business Licence Bylaw, 2026, No. 3089 and repeal Inter-Community Business Licence Bylaw, 2018, No. 2934.
The purpose of the Inter-Community Business Licence Bylaw is to support stronger local and regional economies by allowing eligible businesses to operate in multiple participating communities under a single licence, reducing administrative requirements and associated costs. The program operates through a set of common bylaws adopted by each partner municipality.
Questions and feedback on bylaws must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. on June 1, 2026. All correspondence submitted will form part of the public record and may be included in the meeting agenda published online. Comments may be submitted by:
• Emailing comments to council@esquimalt.ca;
• Mailing or delivering comments to 1229 Esquimalt Road, Esquimalt, BC, V9A 3P1; or
• Placing written comments in the drop box by the main door to Municipal Hall, 1229 Esquimalt Road.
