Michael Dunahee Keep the Hope Alive 5km walk/run 2026

35th Annual family 5km walk/run through the beautiful streets of Equimalt or where ever you are joining us from supporting Child Find BC. 

Wheelchair, stroller and pet-friendly route.

In response to COVID-19 we took The Michael Dunahee Keep the Hope Alive walk/run to a virtual platform which was such a huge success. With this year marking 35 years since the disappearance of Michael on March 24, 1991 we want this year to be even bigger inviting those near and far to participate.

Please note the traffic advisory for the run/walk: 

• Lyall Street between Comerford Street and South Joffre Street will remain closed during the entire event. 
• Fraser Street between Juno Street and Carlisle Avenue will also remain closed for the entire event.
• The rest of the streets will see rolling closures as participants travel the route.
• VicPD will manage traffic during the run/walk. 
• Please travel with caution if you're in the area and follow traffic directions.
