Meagan Brame is a proud wife, mother, grandmother, and long-time resident of Esquimalt, where she has lived for more than 30 years. She brings a wealth of experience in community service, small business and local leadership, having served five and a half terms on Esquimalt Council. Meagan is known for her common-sense, collaborative approach to decision-making and her commitment to listening to residents and finding practical solutions.
With a professional background in early childhood education and child care, Meagan spent more than 36 years working with children and families, including over 30 years as the owner and operator of a local child-care business, from which she retired in 2024. Her career gave her a strong understanding of the challenges facing families and the importance of building inclusive, supportive communities. As her own parents have grown older, she has also developed a greater appreciation for the challenges facing seniors and their families, and the importance of creating a community where people of all ages feel supported, valued and connected.
Meagan is a familiar face at Esquimalt’s many local events and gatherings, where she enjoys connecting with residents and celebrating the vibrant, welcoming spirit that makes the Township so special. She is committed to protecting and strengthening that sense of community while ensuring Esquimalt remains a livable, forward-thinking place for all generations.
