Join Esquimalt’s Parks and Recreation staff for story time in the park. These stories are intended for children ages 3-6, but all are welcome. These stories will focus on environmental education and will be followed by a nature activity in Macaulay Point Park. Parent or caregiver supervision is required. Help your little ones gain an appreciation for nature, reading, and Esquimalt's beautiful parks.
The story on July 14th is West Coast Wild written by Deborah Hodge and illustrated by Karen Reczuch. It is published by Groundwood Books.
This nature alphabet book explores the exciting plants and animals of the west coast. The illustrations are lovely, and will help your child learn about local ecology.
