Volunteer opportunity
We are currently accepting applications to volunteer on the Environment, Parks, and Recreation Advisory Committee. For information on the Committee's membership, procedures, and purpose please see the Committee's Terms of Reference.
Term length: 2 years, beginning January 1, 2027, and concluding December 31, 2028.
Meeting schedule: The Committee will meet a minimum of four (4) times per year, typically on the fourth Wednesday of the month, at 6:30 PM. No meetings are held during the summer and winter breaks (July, August, and December).

The purpose of the Environment, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee is to assist Council to accomplish its goals and objectives as outlined in Council’s priorities. In May 2022, Council merged the Environmental Advisory Committee with the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. The Committee will, consistent with the purpose described above:
- Provide advice and recommendations to Council on any matters referred to the Committee by Council; and
- Provide input on parks and recreation issues as requested by staff.
This committee includes a youth representative.
