Before you register:

Your child's CAMP EMERGENCY FORM must be completed in our registration system before you will be able to register in any Esquimalt Recreation camps for the 2026 calendar year. The Camp Emergency Form provides our team with information to best ensure a safe and enjoyable summer for your child(ren). Please have your child's care card number ready when completing this form. If your child takes medication during program hours or may need to use an inhaler or EpiPen, you must also complete the forms above.

If your child requires inclusion support for Summer Camps, please read the following information: We are introducing a new registration process this year for children who need an additional support worker to participate in our camps. This change has been made to better align with other Recreation Centre Summer Camps in the Greater Victoria area. This support may include assistance with self-regulation, transitions, adapted activities, or other tools to help your child have a successful camp experience.

On April 9, 2026 at 7:00am, registration opens for families with children who require additional support to participate in our Summer Camps. By registering for the 2026 Summer Camp Inclusion Intake Form, you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire outlining your child's support needs and the camp weeks you are hoping to access.

We have reserved a set number of spots in each camp for children receiving inclusion support. Once our team reviews your questionnaire, we will contact you to register your child into the selected camp weeks if we are able to match them with an inclusion support worker for those dates. If you have filled out the questionnaire to receive support in camps, you do not need to register for camps on April 10 when camp registration opens. We have already held spots for your child in our camps.

Our team will be reviewing applications as they are submitted and may reach out if additional information is needed. You will receive confirmation of your child's assigned camp weeks by May 1, 2026.

Camp expectations:

  • STAY SAFE - Be aware of your surroundings and how your actions impact those around you as well as yourself. Participants will use walking feet, have a calm body, minimize physical contact, stay with the camp, wear weather appropriate clothing, etc. Physical altercations will not be tolerated.
  • BE RESPECTFUL - Be respectful to friends, leaders, the environment, and themselves. Listen to others, problem-solve with words, talk calmly, take turns, share, and look at nature. Bullying and teasing will not be tolerated.
  • HAVE FUN - Arrive with a positive attitude and enjoy the activities available. Play safe, include everyone, suggest activities to the leaders, and be creative.
  • TRY YOUR BEST - Try new activities, ask friends (and leaders) for help, be patient, encourage friends in a new activity, and keep your body calm.

If the camp expectations are not followed, your child may be removed from the camp and a meeting with the Camp Supervisor will be required before returning.
