Registration Timeline
Current families and siblings (priority registration)
New families
Completed application packages are currently being accepted to secure a spot on the waitlist. Spaces will be filled based on the time the email is received. Priority registration goes to families requesting 5 days/week.
Our licensed preschool registration is for based on the school year calendar (September – June).
Registration is for the entire school year. To register, families must email their complete application to preschool@esquimalt.ca Applications must be fully completed to be considered and will be considered on a first come, first served basis. Completing an application does not guarantee a placement. The Child, Youth and Family Programmer will contact you to confirm if your child has received a spot. Incomplete applications will not be processed. Please ensure you have all the requirements below before submitting your application.
Preschool application requirements
Steps to apply:
1. Complete the 2025/2026 Preschool Application Package (including Parent Handbook) and email it to preschool@esquimalt.ca
What you will need to complete the package:
Child's BC Personal Health Number (9-digit # through MSP)
Child's full immunization records
Child's family doctor name or preferred walk-in clinic name and office
Minimum two emergency/alternate pick-up contacts (name and phone number)
Any other alternate pick-up person's name and phone number
Digital photo of child, headshot for emergency card
Banking info: credit card or VOID cheque to pay fees
Custody documents (if applicable)
Child Support/Inclusion Needs Intake Form (if applicable)
Anaphylaxis and Asthma Forms (if applicable)
Support & Inclusion
If your child requires extra support or qualifies for funding through Supported Child Development, please fill out the Child Support/Inclusion Needs Intake form below, and email the Child, Youth and Families Programmer at preschool@esquimalt.ca with your registration.

General Payment Information
Once a space is confirmed for your child(ren), a $30.00/family registration processing fee applies. Monthly payment plans are available.
Waitlist
Not sure whether your child is ready for preschool in September 2025? Register on our waitlist. If preschool is full, a space may come available if a family withdraws their child. Registration for the waitlist opens March 12, 2025, please email preschool@esquimalt.ca to register for the waitlist.
