Traffic Lines to be Repainted on all Major Corridors in the Township

Esquimalt Public Works advises that crews will be painting traffic lines on all major corridors in the Township starting on the evening of Wednesday June 5th. The project, which is weather dependent, is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. Saturday June 8th.

Traffic lines are repainted by Esquimalt Public Works on a regular basis because vehicle traffic, maintenance activities, and weather reduce the paint’s visibility.

Most major corridors will be repainted, including Esquimalt Road, Old Esquimalt Road, Admirals Road, Lampson Street, Colville Road and Craigflower Road.

Motorists are advised to watch for crews and traffic cones and to avoid driving over wet paint, which can destroy the line work and potentially damage vehicles.
