Vacancies on township committees and commission—call for volunteers
The Township of Esquimalt is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in serving the community as a member of an advisory committee.
Advisory committees provide feedback and ideas for consideration to council on specific matters.
The Advisory Planning Commission advises Council on:
- land use issues, community planning, and proposed bylaws
- rezoning, official community plan amendment, and development permit applications
There is one vacancy for the remainder of a two-year term concluding December 31, 2023 with the possibility of serving additional terms.
The Environment, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee has both a youth and adult position available.
- 1 vacancy for the remainder of a two-year term concluding December 31, 2024
Residents of Esquimalt are encouraged to apply. - 1 vacancy for a Youth Representative for the remainder of a one-year term ending June 30, 2023. Applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 18, be a resident of Esquimalt or in full-time attendance at a school located within Esquimalt.
Anyone interested in being considered for one of these advertised appointments is invited to submit an application form by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
