Notice of Meeting - Regular Council - December 15, 2025

A Regular meeting of Council will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 5:45 p.m., in the Wurtele Room, Esquimalt Municipal Hall, 1229 Esquimalt Road.

The first item of business is to close the meeting to the general public in accordance to the Community Charter: 
Section 90 (1) (a), (e), and (k), to discuss personal information about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an officer, employee or agent of the municipality or another position appointed by the municipality; the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality; negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public; and

Section 90 (2) (b) (i), (ii), and (iii), to discuss the consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations
(i) between the municipality and a provincial government or the federal government, or both, or between a provincial government or the federal government, or both, and a third party;
(ii) between the municipality and another local government or between another local government and a third party; and
(iii) between the municipality and a first nation or a prescribed Indigenous entity, or between a first nation or a prescribed Indigenous entity and a third party.

At 7:00 p.m. the open portion of the meeting will reconvene in Council Chambers with members of the public permitted to attend.  Please refer to the appropriate meeting agenda for information regarding business items for the open meeting.

Members of the public are encouraged to submit their comments in writing by emailing comments to council@esquimalt.ca or mailing or delivering comments to 1229 Esquimalt Rd, Esquimalt, BC, V9A 3P1 before 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the day of the meeting.
