April 28 is a significant day as we reflect on safety at work

Every year on April 28, workers, families, employers, and others come together at events held around the province to remember those who have lost their lives on the job, and to renew our commitment to creating safer workplaces.

The Township of Esquimalt annually lowers flags to half-mast on April 28, 2021 in honour of those who have been lost and their loved ones. 

WorksafeBC is offering an online video and moment of silence for those who wish to join a live community ceremony.
