Esquimalt Fire Rescue continues with its investigation into the cause of the fire at the Tudor House Pub on July 16th, 2013. In addition to analysing evidence on site, department investigators are interviewing eye witnesses and reviewing photos and videos taken on the morning of the fire.

Air quality in the vicinity of the fire scene is being monitored by North West Environmental Group Ltd. Results from this monitoring indicate that air quality is within normal levels. The consultant is also analyzing fluids trapped within the foundation for contaminants.

All roads surrounding the site are now open and the bus shelter on Esquimalt Road is available for use by transit users. Debris has been removed from the basement of the demolished building and is being stored in the parking lot for future disposal.

The site is currently enclosed with security fencing, which is partially obstructing the sidewalk on the east side of the 500 block of Admirals Road. Pedestrians are advised to use the sidewalk on the west side of Admirals Road at this location.
