The Township of Esquimalt is working on a comprehensive long-term plan for the redevelopment of municipally owned properties within the commercial core. The intent is to create a lively and viable town centre, incorporating a mix of commercial, residential, civic and recreation uses. This project is referred to as the Esquimalt Village Plan (EVP) and is being developed in two phases.
This Expression of Interest is concerned with Phase 1 of the EVP which includes parcels previously used for a municipal hall and public works yard as well as a town square. The old works yard is considered to be a brownfield site in need of remediation.
Acceptance of Expressions of Interest closed at 4:30 pm on April 27, 2010.
