Our community volunteer income tax clinic is back.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Clinic offers cost-free tax preparation services to Esquimalt residents with modest incomes. 

The income tax clinic operates from Wednesday, March 6 - Saturday, April 27, 2024.

To be eligible for this program, persons must be Esquimalt residents and fall within the noted income thresholds:
  • 1 person - $35,000;
  • 2 people - $45,000;
  • +$2,500 for each dependent.

This program is run by volunteers. Sessions are 30 minutes to ensure ample time for completion of return. 

Please be on time and bring the following with you:
  • government issued ID 
  • all T slips received from the CRA 
  • any medical or charitable receipts for the 2023 year 
  • any child care receipts if applicable 
  • any post secondary tuition receipts if applicable 
  • your 2022 tax return letter, if available, as its helpful in this process. All sessions will take place in the Admin Office located across from reception at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre. The volunteer will come get you at the time of your appointment.

Please be advised that there is no drop-off service available.
