Brush Cutting at Macaulay Point Park

Type(s)
News

Beginning August 4, 2009 Custom Flail Mowing will be cutting two patches of brush, mostly blackberries and broom, at the Clifton Terrace Entrance to Macaulay Point Park.

This is to increase the dog off leash area as recommended in the Macaulay Point Natural Areas Management Plan and the Township of Esquimalt's obligation to the Department of National Defence.

Residents and visitors to the park that pick blackberries will be marginally affected but patches will be left along the trails for the public's future enjoyment.
