On May 25, 2021, the Province announced a four-stage reopening plan with steps to move us back to our pre-pandemic life by early September. As the Province moves into Stage 3 of the restart plan, please be advised that starting July 19, 2021, the township will be re-instating that garbage stickers are required for extra garbage collection.

There will be a grace period from August 9 to August 30, 2021, to allow residents time to adjust to the change. After September 6, enforcement will begin requiring extra garbage to have the appropriate stickers.

Extra garbage stickers can be purchased at the Esquimalt Municipal Hall at a cost of four for $8. Purchases can be made Monday to Friday between 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you are unable to attend during the specified hours of operation, please phone the municipal hall at 250-414-7100 to book an appointment to come in and purchase the garbage stickers.

The stickers are needed to accompany extra garbage. If you have extra garbage you will be required to have an extra township regulation garbage bin. Bins can be purchased at the municipal hall for $95 each.
