Get prepared with the Township of Esquimalt and the District of Oak Bay!

Thank you for taking part in Emergency Preparedness Week 2021! The Township of Esquimalt and the District of Oak Bay challenged you to do a scavenger hunt around your house to find items for your emergency kit.

Contest

Take a picture of the item, post it using the hashtag #getyourkit or submit your photo here and enter to win a prize to add to your emergency kit.

How to enter:

1. Decide what type of kit you're going to build (see types of lists).
2. Do a scavenger hunt around your house to find items to put in your kit.
3. Take a photo and post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #getyourkit or submit your photo using the form below.
4. Get prepared to win!

The contest will run from Saturday, May 2, 2021 until Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.

It doesn’t take a lot to start your emergency kit! Get prepared with things you already have around the house.

*Entrants must reside in the Capital Regional District and be 13 years or older. There is no limit to the number of entries from one person; however, each entry must be different.  Children under 13 may ask parents or guardians to submit on their behalf. The contest is open until 11:59 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021. Winners will be selected by random draw.
