Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program has been cancelled for the 2019 tax season. The CRA has extended its deadlines for both filing and payment of 2019 income tax. For more information, follow the link below:
The Esquimalt Volunteer Tax Program provides a complimentary completion of taxes for low income members of the community. The clinic will be open Monday, March 2nd until Tuesday, April 28 (closed on April 7, April 10 & April 13). To be eligible for this program, persons must be Esquimalt residents and fall within the noted income thresholds:
- Individual - $35,000;
- Couple - $45,000;
- +$2,500 for each dependent.
Please be advised that there is no drop-off service available; service is provided on a first come, first-first served basis. Clients are kindly asked to wait with all of their documents as signatures are required before taxes can be filed.
