A construction project to extend the apparatus bays in Esquimalt’s Public Safety Building is on track to be substantially completed by early December, 2016. Work began on the project on September 12, 2016.

The addition to the north end of the building will provide necessary space to relocate a fire truck and emergency equipment currently located within an old public works building on Esquimalt Town Square (ETS) lands. This building will be removed from the lands as part of the ETS development in the winter of 2016.

A portion of the parking lot will be enclosed with fencing until the project is completed. For public safety the public is asked to stay clear of the construction zone.
