May 23, 2018
Esquimalt News

Round 2 of McLoughlin Amenity Funds public engagement is underway with a second online survey and a mobile engagement booth.

Following on the first round of engagement, in which we gathered hundreds of community ideas on how to use the funds, we want to know what your preferences are from the themes that have emerged.

Please take the Round 2 survey here. It takes about 10–20 minutes to complete.

In addition, mobile engagement booths will be located at these upcoming community events in Esquimalt.

Project Background

In January 2017, the CRD and the Township of Esquimalt agreed on an amenity funding package associated with locating the wastewater treatment plant at McLoughlin Point. A one-time CRD contribution of $17 million—the McLoughlin Point Amenity Reserve Funds—will be used for capital projects in waterfront parks, recreation facilities, and a public safety facility.
