Advisory signs have been posted at beach access points while water sampling is underway.
Heavy rain caused combined stormwater and wastewater overflows along some shorelines in Greater Victoria beginning the afternoon of December 11, 2018. The areas affected are between Rutland Road (Oak Bay) and Seaview Road (Saanich) including Cadboro Bay, between Trafalgar Park and Radcliffe Lane including McNeill Bay in Oak Bay and between Fraser Street and Victoria View Road in Esquimalt. As a result of these discharges, residents are advised to avoid entering the waters along the affected shorelines, as the wastewater may pose a health risk.
