Join us Friday, November 17th at the Archie Browning Sports Centre in Esquimalt for the next Resilient Region Exchange Breakfast!
Please RSVP on Meetup. A free user account will need to be created.
The theme is complete communities.
Building off five years of success, these quarterly community breakfasts bring together business leaders, politicians, activists, bureaucrats, and academics. The goal is to provide a space for forging new partnerships, incubating ideas, and developing projects that contribute to a resilient, healthy and green capital region.
Hosted by the CRD, participants will enjoy hot coffee and tea, light snacks and great conversation.
Representatives from the Township of Esquimalt, co-host of this event, will provide attendees with a short overview of recent municipal efforts. The Township is nearing completion of its review of the Official Community Plan. The updated plan will include a number of new policies and guidelines to ensure that Esquimalt continues to be a complete community as it grows and develops in the future. To support this goal, the Township has developed neighbourhood design guidelines for West Bay and Esquimalt Road. In addition, construction has begun on the Esquimalt Town Square. This new development, adjacent to the Town Hall, will feature a mix of residential and commercial uses including a new library, outdoor patio space, and a pedestrian walkway.
As always, we will have time for introductions, success stories, project profiles and targeted networking.
Travel by foot, bus (served by routes #15, 25, 26), bike (racks available at the front of the building beside the exterior stairs to the arena) or vehicle.
