2015 Contest Timeline:
- Submit Your Entry Form: Until June 10th
- Judges Visits: June 16th to 19th
- People's Choice Voting (through Facebook and at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre): June 20th to 23rd
- Awards Evenings: June 25th

How the Contest Works:
- After a property is nominated, an Esquimalt Parks Staff will deliver a lawn sign to be proudly displayed on the property.
- June 11th to 15th properties will be contacted to be given an approximate time for judges to arrive. Nominees do not need to be present for judging.
- If your garden blooms before or after the judging period, June 16th to 19th, you may submit photos to be included with your submission to blooming[at]esquimalt.ca
- Judges evaluate the property based on several different criteria, summarized here and scored.
- Prizes are awarded on June 25th. Prizes include the top three in each category, the announcing of the Neighbourhood Champion.
How the Neighbourhood Challenge Will Work:
- Based on the zones identified in the Official Community Plan, the greatest number of Bloomin' Beautiful participants in a given zone will win the title of "2015 Bloomin' Beautiful Neighbourhood Champion".
- All participants in a zone must meet a minimum criteria to be eligible.
