Located adjacent to downtown Victoria, Esquimalt is a residential community (population 17,000) with extensive amenities including beautiful parks and beaches, scenic waterfront walkways as well as modern recreational facilities, schools and commercial services.
The Public Works Department is seeking a motivated individual to fill a full-time regular Technical Supervisor position. Reporting to the Public Works Manager, the Technical Supervisor plans and coordinates maintenance requirements for municipal assets, capital projects, and facility maintenance/repair contracts. This position also assists the manager in the scheduling of work required to meet both long and short terms plans, as well as urgent response requirements.
The ideal candidate will have several years related experience in Public Works maintenance and/or operations supervision, including planning, budgeting, cost estimating and contract management, along with a two year diploma in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other qualifications include:
- Current Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
- Current W.H.M.I.S Certificate
