Skate Shop / Skate Patrol Attendant - Auxiliary

 (This is a Union Position)

INTERNAL/EXTERNALOPPORTUNITY

 

This is an auxiliary position requiring the incumbent to work with Community 

Recreation.  Scheduled hours may vary, 7 days a week with typical 2 hour shifts.

 

The preferred candidate will have experience in:

• Skate Sharpening

• Distributing rental skates to patrons

• Customer Service; communicating with public regarding skating schedules  facility policies and regulations.

• Ensuring facility policies, procedures and regulations are implemented, ensuring the ice complex area is safe.

• Ensuring proper documentation is completed for all accidents and incidents.

• Performing related duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with the public

• Skating skills 

• Current First Aid Certification

• Clear criminal record check

• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with our team

 

A clear and current criminal record check (including vulnerable sector check) is a condition of employment, and is the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.

 

SALARY:

$13.94 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits
