Scheduled hours may vary, 7 days a week with typical 2 hour shifts.
The preferred candidate will have experience in:
- Preparing lesson plans
- Instructing children ages 3-12 years in skating lessons
- Assessing children’s skating skills
- Completing written report cards
- Communicating with parents/caregivers on their child’s progress
- Ensuring facility policies, procedures and regulations are implemented ensuring the ice complex area is safe.
- Ensuring proper documentation is completed for all accidents and incidents.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, providing guidance and encouragement in learning new skills
- Strong skating skills
- Current First Aid Certification
- Clear criminal record check
- Inter‐municipal Learn to Skate Instructors Training (preferred)
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with our team
