Located adjacent to downtown Victoria, Esquimalt is a residential community (population 17,000) with extensive amenities including beautiful parks and beaches, scenic waterfront walkways as well as modern recreational facilities, schools and commercial services.

The Engineering and Public Works Department is seeking a motivated individual to fill a regular full-time Office Administrator position. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Public Works, the Office Administrator is the primary public contact for inquiries relating to the departments. This position is responsible for all departmental administration including providing clerical support to the team, and provides back-up administrative support to the Development Services Department.

The ideal candidate will have formal education/training in office administration and three years of related experience, preferably within an engineering or public works department of a local government. In addition, he or she will be able to work both independently and as a team player while providing excellent customer service both internally and externally.
