SKATE SHOP/ SKATE PATROL ATTENDANT - AUXILIARY

$13.94 per hour – Hours Vary
Located adjacent to downtown Victoria, Esquimalt is a residential community (population 16,209) with extensive amenities including beautiful parks and beaches, scenic waterfront walkways as well as modern recreational facilities, schools and commercial services.
This is an auxiliary position requiring the incumbent to work with Community
Recreation. Scheduled hours may vary, 7 days a week with typical 2 hour shifts.
The preferred candidate will have experience in:
- Skate Sharpening
- Distributing rental skates to patrons
- Customer Service; communicating with public regarding skating schedules facility policies and regulations.
- Ensuring facility policies, procedures and regulations are implemented, ensuring the ice complex area is safe.
- Ensuring proper documentation is completed for all accidents and incidents.
- Performing related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with the public
- Skating skills
- Current First Aid Certification
- Clear criminal record check
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with our team
