BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER - Auxiliary, COMPETITION NUMBER 19-21
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL AUXILIARY OPPORTUNITY
HOURS OF WORK: On call shift work
SALARY: $26.52 - $28.56 per hr – Ice Facility Operator (uncertified rate) – Shift Work
$30.09 per hr – Refrigeration Operator (certified rate) – Shift Work
(plus 14% in lieu of benefits)
This position requires you to perform routine servicing and maintenance of refrigeration equipment; monitoring and making necessary adjustments to brine level, flow and temperature; set up rooms for functions; unload and move shipments of materials and supplies; prepare and handle various cleaning materials; undertake facility repairs; make and maintain ice using various equipment and machinery; garbage disposal and re-cycling programs; maintain high level of cleanliness of various public rooms, offices and equipment.
The preferred candidate will have
- High school graduation.
- Refrigeration Operator Certificate (certified rate)
- Ice Facility Operator (uncertified rate)
- Current and valid Class 5 B.C. Drivers License.
- 2 years of related experience.
