What a year! In 2012 we turned 100 and to celebrate we held some 40 centennial events. Here is a look back at the events that celebrated Esquimalt’s Centennial Year.
October 2011
October 8:
Centennial kick-off event held at Town Square behind Municipal Hall on October 8. Some 1000 people joined in to this early start to our celebrations. Read about the event in the October 2011 issue of the Esquimalt Current community newsletter. The event featured the first public performance of centennial theme song “Esquimalt Shines” by Fraser Campbell (get your copy here)

Centennial Concert Series at St. Paul’s: Works from the Baroque, Classic and Romantic periods.

100 centennial tulip bulbs planted at Sailor’s Walk in Esquimalt
