Rental Assistance Program for Families

February 9, 2009

Low-income, working families in Esquimalt may be better able to afford their rent thanks to BC Housing's Rental Assistance Program.

The Rental Assistance Program provides cash assistance for eligible families renting in the private market. For families who have a total household income of $35,000 or less, this assistance can make a significant difference in their ability to better afford rent, buy food, medicine and other necessities.

To qualify for the program, families must have a gross household income of $35,000 or less, have at least one dependent child, have lived in B.C. for the past 12 months and have spent part of last year or this year working.

Eligible families can find out more about the Rental Assistance Program by visiting the program webpage online by clicking here or by calling 1-800-257-7756.
