How is the budget created at the Township of Esquimalt? How can residents and businesses be involved?

You're invited to an information session that will help explain how property taxes are calculated and how the budget is created. 

Our goal is to increase awareness and understanding among taxpayers about the budget and taxation processes as well the Township financial operations.

We want to engage our community and encourage input into future budget and tax rate discussions. 

Learn about:

  • how the Township uses and safeguards your tax dollars
  • how the budget is drafted and opportunities for community input
  • assessments and how they impact the taxes you pay
  • how property taxes are calculated and options for tax relief

The Township budget is not just a document; it is what defines the levels of service that taxpayers receive and how these are paid for.
