UPDATE, 9:20am Mar 19, 2020 from event organizers: T-shirt pick-up will take place in the recreation centre parking lot 10:00am-2:00pm on Saturday March 21. Cones and signage will be present to guide registrants in maintaining 2m of space between themselves in line and at the pick-up table.
Statement from event organizers:
"In response to COVID-19 we have come to the difficult decision to change how The Michael Dunahee Keep the Hope Alive 2020 event will take place. The health and safety of registrants, staff and volunteers is our top priority. The BC Ministry of Health has mandated that all events of 250+ participants be cancelled. We will NOT be cancelling but changing our event to a virtual platform and hope that you will join us remotely and share how you and your family are supporting us on March 22nd.
You will continue to register on the Race Roster platform by following this link https://raceroster.com/…/michael-dunahee-keep-the-hope-alive. Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email from Race Roster with instructions on how to complete the virtual event. If you have already registered you will be receiving an email explaining the transition to the virtual platform. You will then pick up your locally designed t-shirt at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre on March 21st from 10am til 2pm in the Atrium. If you cannot make it there, please notify us so that we can make other arrangements to ensure that you have your shirts for the first Virtual Michael Dunahee Keep the Hope Alive 2020 event. For anyone who wishes to join us, we will be walking the usual route starting at the corner of Lyall and Fraser Street at 10am on March 22nd.
When you've completed your run, walk, bike ride or what ever you have decided to do we ask that you share your photos with us and your friends on social media using the hashtag #MichaelDunaheeRun2020.

Family fun 5km walk/run through the beautiful streets of Esquimalt. Stroller, wheelchair and also dog friendly. This is an event where we can gather and enjoy the company of friends and families and raise funds for Child Find BC.
The funds raised will help Child Find BC continue to do the work that they do to keep our families educated and safe in our world today. Please come out and join us for this annual event.

- Pre-registration t-shirt pick up at Esquimalt Recreation Centre on Saturday March 23rd from 10am – 12pm.
- Day of registration begins around 9am with warmup at 9:45 with run/walk taking off at 10am
